These terms apply to appointments with HairBiba, whether they happen in the home salon at 10 High Street, Yelling, or at your own address. Booking an appointment means you accept them. Nothing here takes away the rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Booking an appointment

Bookings are taken through Fresha, or by phone and WhatsApp on 07960 632388. An appointment is confirmed once you have it in writing from Fresha or from me. Live availability and current prices live on the Fresha page, and that is the version to go by.

Please book the right length of appointment. Colour and long hair take longer, and if a booking is too short for what you want doing I may have to shorten the service or move you to another day.

Home visits

Home visits are booked by choosing the Home Visit version of a service on Fresha. They cost the service price plus a £10 call-out charge, which is already included in the home visit prices shown on Fresha. The service area is roughly a 30 to 40 minute drive from Yelling. Anywhere further is often still possible, but ask first.

For a home visit I need:

  • Somewhere to park within reasonable reach of the door
  • A hard floor or a space that can take a little water and cut hair
  • A power socket, and access to a sink or bath for washing where the service needs it
  • Pets settled somewhere else while I am working

There is no hydraulic chair and no portable backwash, so hair is washed at your sink or bath. If I arrive and the space genuinely cannot be worked in safely, I will do what I can and the call-out charge still applies.

Skin tests before colour

A skin test is required at least 48 hours before any colour, tint or lash treatment. This is not negotiable. It applies the first time you have colour with me, and again if you have had a reaction to anything since, if your medication or health has changed, or if it has been a long time since your last appointment.

If you have not had a valid skin test in time, the colour cannot go ahead. In that case the appointment either becomes a cut or blow dry, or it is rebooked. Please tell me before your appointment about any allergy, any previous reaction to hair products, henna or box dye you have used, and any medication or treatment that affects your skin or hair.

Cancellations and no-shows

Give me as much notice as you can if you need to change or cancel. As a rule of thumb that means at least 24 hours, because a slot given up on the day is very hard to fill and a home visit means travel already committed to.

Late cancellations and no-shows are handled case by case. Life happens, and a one-off is not a problem. Where it becomes a pattern I may ask for a deposit before booking you in again, or decline further bookings.

If I have to cancel, which is rare, I will tell you as early as I can and offer you the first suitable slot I have. Anything you have paid in advance for an appointment I cancel is refunded in full.

Running late

If you are running late, ring or message me. I will fit in what I can in the time left, but appointments after yours cannot be pushed back, so a shorter version of the service may be all that fits. Arriving more than fifteen minutes late to a colour usually means it has to be rebooked.

Payment and prices

Payment is due at the end of the appointment, by card or cash. Prices are on Fresha and are held as accurately as possible, but hair is not uniform: length, thickness and how much product a head takes all move the price. If your hair is going to need more than the booked service allows for, I will tell you what it costs before I start rather than after.

What I can and cannot promise

I will always tell you honestly what is achievable with the hair in front of me. Colour behaves differently on different hair, and previous box dye, henna, home bleach or heat damage all change what is possible in one sitting. Getting to a target shade sometimes takes more than one appointment, and I will say so before we begin rather than promise something that would wreck your hair.

Aftercare matters. If you use the wrong products, wash colour out with harsh shampoo or go swimming in chlorine straight after a treatment, the result will not last as it should.

If you are not happy

Tell me. Ring me on 07960 632388 or message me on WhatsApp within seven days of your appointment, and I will look at it with you. Where something is genuinely down to my work I will put it right at no charge. A change of mind about a colour we agreed on, or damage from products used afterwards, is a new appointment rather than a correction, and I will be straight with you about which it is.

Children and under-16s

Children are welcome. Anyone under 16 needs a parent or guardian present for the whole appointment, and colour services are not carried out on under-16s.

Photographs

I only take photographs of your hair with your say-so, and I ask again before anything is posted. You can change your mind at any point, including after a photo has gone up, and I will take it down. How photographs are stored is covered in the privacy policy.

What I hold about you, why, and what you can ask me to do with it is set out in the privacy policy.
